Just returned from 10 days touring Scotland, taking in 5 days in Skye staying at the Longhouse.

The location was wild and remote. There were spectacular views over the Cuillins. Would do it all over again tomorrow.

The Longhouse is a fabulous getaway. It's stunning location makes for a relaxing escape from day to day reality, and the quietness is missed once you return hom.

The fully stocked kitchen was unexpected even though it had been noted in the details (the bread machine was an added bonus).

If you want tranquility with mod cons The Longhouse is the place for you.

After walking half of the West Highland Way with our kids the Skye Longhouse felt like heaven. A superb house, fully equipped, nice neighbours as you can see from the picture, so that we immediately felt at home!

The Longhouse was exactly what we hoped for - remote with spectacular scenery, stylish, well-equipped. We had every comfort and spent a wonderful week with our family. The Highland cattle and a stag deer silhouetted against the sky were welcome sights most mornings. Some fine dining nearby (well, relatively) at Kinloch Lodge: we had a super Sunday lunch there.

The Longhouse provided a wonderful getaway, in an amazing setting.

We loved the house, and really felt removed from the hustle and bustle that we are used too. Very remote but exactly what we wanted and the house was just perfect.

Will be telling everyone to take a visit to Skye and the Longhouse, a superb short break.

Really didnt want to come back to Essex frown
